How do articles help my websites and increase the importance of my website?
Each web page that links to your site is counted by search engines as a vote for your website. These votes will help the search engine determine your sites importance. If the web page that votes for your site has related content, the vote will have a higher value. The great thing about article marketing is you create the content of the webpage linking to your site.

These two basic mechanics of search engines will likely never change.

If you create useful information, people will want to read it. There are several primary functions of the internet, and one of the biggest functions is to share information. People don’t care where they find it; they aren’t going to say “oh this is an article site; I’m going to look elsewhere”. If that’s where the information is, they really don’t care what type of site the information came form as long as it has what they are looking for.
